Has this ever happened to anyone?
So I'm brewing a Porter and I've collected the first runnings of 3 1/2 gallons of wort @1.080 and I'm transferring in bucket from MLT to BK. My wife calls and distracts me and I walk away while it's draining into kettle.
Guess what?
I left the valve open on my kettle.
Yeah, exactly. I drained it right back onto the driveway, and lost 2 gallons of it by the time I came back.
Luckily I had some extra grain, to make up for the lost wort, but added an additional hour to brewing.
I hope I learned my lesson.
Probably not.

HAHA i did that on my last batch but i didnt almost cry, but my wife got mad i used clean towels she just washed, i just added a pound of light dme and toped off well see how it turns out.
