I have some extra Munton's lying around and was thinking about using it for some hard cider. Has anyone done this and had it work out alright, or should should I just buy some yeast more suited for this job?

I haven't used Muntons specifically, but I will tell you Ale yeast is VERY suitable for making hard cider

Dump the Munton's and get some Safale SO-4. Its amazing for Cider.
