Thinking of brewing this but had a few questions.

9lb Fawcett Pearl
4.8lb Pilsner

6-7 ML Hopshot @60
1 oz Mosaic @10
1oz Mosaic @5
1oz Mosaic 10 min whirlpool
4oz Citra DH

Burlington Ale Yeast

OG 1.064
FG 1.012
IBU 80
SRM 5

Question 1 - Can't find Pearl Malt on Beersmith. What should I enter into my recipe?
Question 2 - The hotshot specs say 10 IBU per ML in 1.050 wort, but when I enter 6 ML Beersmith I only get 40ibu, and yes, I have accurately set the AA% in Beersmith.

Any advice on this recipe and questions would be greatly appreciated.
 
Look for "Pale Ale Malt - Pearl (Muntons)" in the Ingredients listing.
I don't know if was included in an Add-On or if it came with the original kit.

Specs are:
Color 3.0 SRM
Potential 1.038 SG.

I use a lot of English Pearl in my ipas/neipas. Very nice flavor to it...

The Hop Shot entry in my BS2 Ingredients listing is shown at 80% AA, and per BS2 10ml in the boil results in 79.1 IBUs.
Based on that, 6 ml should result in around 47 IBUs.

fwiw, I've done a couple batches of the Banger clone and used the equivalent IBUs of cheap Columbus pellets in the boil instead of the pricey Hop Shots...

I believe it is an add-on. I found it when I was trying to brew up a Heady Topper clone and Beersmith did not have Thomas Fawcett malts listed. I think the add-on might be something like "Fawcett malts" but its in there.

I'm curious if others have brewed this recipe as well. If so, would you recommend brewing as is or making any changes?
