so i started out doing the 1-2-3 method and then found that 1-3-4 worked better

1 week primary - 3 weeks secondary - 4 week bottles

My question is that now that i have switched over to kegs and forced carbonation what should the formula be??

Thanks

It has been argued over the necessity of secondary fermentation... I am one to tend to agree that we don't really need it. I keg, and personally bulk aging in cornies works just fine. I usually go a week or 2 (maybe longer depending on the beer, maybe less) in the primary, then co2 purge in a corny and crash cool after I am certain fermentation has completed.

The bottom line is there really isn't a set "formula" for fermentation. It all depends on your beer style, and what you want out of it.

It depends, of course. For a moderate beer I go with three weeks in the primary and three weeks in the keg.
