So after being here for a month- I have a few things to say. Afganistan is cold as ****.

Hasnt really been above 20 in the last few weeks and maybe because we are at altitude it really seems colder here.

Food is edible but barely- Everything is covered in a film of dust that is irritating to say the least. We are allowed to pay $35 a month for an internet hookup in our hooch- 64k. Slow and inconsistant, we have the pleasure of having our internet censored. Isnt that lovely, no porn for you silly GI! So if anyone wants to hook a brotha up.....

Oh well- unlike the Army I only have another 3.5 months to go, guess I shouldnt complain too much. Just missing the wife, kids, dogs and beer.

Got some pics in my gallery- will try to add a few more

It's cold here in Pa. this morning too, but I'll be firing up the kettle shortly anyway.
Keep up the good work and stay safe.

Nice piccy.
Hope you get home safe.

I feel for yea. Use to commercial fish, out for 30 days at a time, know what it's like to be away from Land, love and beer. I salute you and your brothers in arms. Thank you and yours for your Sacrifice.

chin up, keep well, thank you for your service!

having many family and friends in the service, even tho I've never been away from home more than 4 days, I feel for you... i'm sure your family is just as anxious as you....

The only feeling that is better than home: coming home after a long time away. Like in good homebrew, patience is rewarded.

Thank you for your service, couple of my Bro in laws will be over there soon in the Marine surge.

210th, eh? We used to work quite a bit with you guys when I was stationed in AK (now defunct 355 FS).

If I have my bearings right, I was there when the patch of concrete you're standing on in the pic was marked as a mine field. It was warmer, though, in March-August.

Stay safe, stay warm, and give 'em hell!

Small world eh- the 210th is now one of the very few Guardian Angel Weapons systems currently in exisitence. These guys are pretty cool- With that being said most of them have seen some good combat. This group is awesome, former Marines SF, Army SF/SERE and tons of awesome pilots.
