i am going to move from to partial to doing full boils but i do not want to get all the equipment right now for all grain because i dont have the money right now. i am going to get a big pot, burner, and wort chiller and do full boils with my partial mash ingredients. is there a free software or a calculation to change the hop amount from 2.5 to 5 gallon boils? thanks.

I use Beersmith, which has a free trial but costs about $20 to keep. You could probably use the free trial at least to adjust the hopping, though.

BeerAlchemy for Mac Thats what I use. 29.95 for a download it does everything I need it to do.

I second BeerAlchemy, it was one of the best investments I have made into brewing. It's well worth it!

I use BeerCalculus. It's online and free and gives me all the info I need. Not as good as the others in terms of being able to save reference old brews and all that, but if you are just looking to calculate IBUs and be done with it there's no point in spending the money.

That said I've just about talked myself into buying BeerSmith
