Is there a rule of thumb? I am mainly brewing extract kits at this point - I started doing full volume boils at the same time I made some other changes (improvements), so I haven't really gotten a feel for what the difference in hop utilization is - since most of the kits are based on topping up a 2.5 gallon boil...

I'm getting ready to do a Russian Imperial Stout extract kit (from Northern Brewer) which calls for 1.75 oz of Summit at 60 min, and 2 oz of Cascade at flameout... (for a 5 gallon recipe)

Should I not worry about it? Is the increased hop utilization more of an "academic" difference and not really tasteable? Or should I be dialing back the additions slightly?

Thanks for your opinions!
