For those who can do either a 5g or 10g batch in their BIAB system, do you adjust the trub loss estimates for the batch size? I've only done my 2nd 10g batch and seems like I need to bump up the estimates just based on hops alone.
I do 10 gallon batches.Average strike water is 14 gallons for a 11 1/2 to 12 gallon post boil volume.I use a hop bag for clean hot break and suck up every bit of hot break into the fermenter.Dont fear the trub.More and more are coming out saying it actually makes for better beer if the trub goes in the fermenter.
