So I was thinking of adding maple syrup to my secondary of a bba stout I do, will this kick off a secondary fermentation due to the sugar in the maple syrup? I've heard and read that maple syrup added to primary during or even after fermentation gets eaten by the yeast since it's pure sugar and doesn't leave the up front maple syrup taste so I was thinking of adding it to secondary. Thoughts?

You can filter with I think a 300 micron filter when putting it into secondary . That should remove the yeast. But it takes away some flavor from the yeast. But you will have to force carb it.
