I've chose to go with SS Brewtech for my homebrewery a few years back, and have their kettles/fermenters/etc.... I was thinking about having an additional TC port welded onto the rear of my kettle for an electric element.

Has anyone had luck going to a welding shop and having one installed? If so, how much $$? Any other advice on going this route?

Thanks!

My suggestion is to talk to any brewery in the area that has been around a long time and ask if they can recommend a welder. If you do a random search, you're likely to find someone that will turn your kettle into a planter.
