Just wondering everyone's thoughts on just putting the dry dextrose into a keg for carbonation?

Usually I disolve it on the stove in some boiled water.

Am I wasting my time?

i'd think that dissolving it in some hot water first would sure make it easier on your back... :mug:

edit: i have done sugar washes i was thinking the yeast would stir it in for me, nope....

It's technically better to boil it to sanitize and to get it to mix in more smoothly/quicker. But it's very unlikely to have anything harmful in it/on it, and the yeast will eventually convert it anyway. I would boil it if time allows, but I wouldn't lose sleep over it if time doesn't allow.
