Hi all,
Just brewed a pliny clone yesterday and tried some american ale yeast that advertised double the 1056 cells.... decided to try it out so i didnt have to do a yeast starter...its been a few years since ive last brewed and i forgot the purpose of a blow off tube.... thus this morning the krausen was pumping out of my s-lock.... i tried to scrounge up a blowoff tube really quickly... i sanitized it and when i went to put it in I wasnt paying attention and the tube fell right into the krausen lol....
My question to you all is shoukd i try and fish it out? Im not really worried about it contaminating the brew, but moreso about imparting plastic flavors??? Am i being too paranoid?
What would you guys suggest?
