Accidentally smacked my smack pack

So I smacked my smack pack and I'm not ready for it until this weekend. Can I juist keep it in the fridge until I'm ready to use it?

Or, you could make a starter since you've got the time anyway.

Funny you should say that, I intended to make a starter with some white labs yeast for an IPA I'm making this weekend and, half asleep, just automatically grabbed the smack pack and got it going the night before. When I woke up in the morning I realized the mistake. The smack pack was for a batch of cider later.
