So I'm interested in taking baby steps into kegging. Bottling is such a pain in the ass (although it is getting better as I'm getting more organized). What is the minimum I would need? Obviously a keg, CO2 tank, picnic tap, hoses to connect everything, and something to keep it cold (I'm thinking trash can). Is there anything I'm missing? Sorry if this is a common question or if it's answered in the stickys. I looked and didn't see it but I'm pretty tired and have been brewing (which also means drinking) for a while now.

Thanks

Do you plan to keep filling your trash can with ice to keep it cold or will you be floating the keg rather quickly?

For a party the trash can and ice would work quite well but for long term drinking I think you would probably want a fridge of some sort.
