Im looking to add a hint of orange and coriander to my wheat tonight. I was thinking 3/4 oz of orange zest at the end of the boil, but how much coriander should I use? I don't want anything overpowering, just a slight hint of flavor in the aftertaste. Im making a 5 gallon batch

If you're looking for subtle, I'd try 1 tsp of ground coriander. Or even 2 tsp would still be reasonably subtle, I'd say.

Definitely grind or crush them fresh, right before adding. The flavor difference with freshly ground spices is night and day.

I used over 3/4 of an ounce in my recent Belgian Wit . . . it is in the secondary now . .. bottling this weekend. I think it was just the right amount . . . I can definitely taste it. I guess, however, I won't be able to make a final judgment until I have a finished brew from that batch.
