A bug in my yeast starter...and not a fly!

Prepared my yeast starter today as I always do. Pitched my yeast in and about 20 minutes later said to myself, "what is that floating at the top?" Another hour went by and I decided to fish it out. Low and behold somehow a freaking pincher bug got in my starter and decided to drown itself. Have no idea how it got in there since the tin foil top protected my starter. Unfortunately don't have time to prepare another so fingers crossed it was somehow in my sanitizer before the starter...
 
We get freaking earwigs everywhere here. Let's just say if you call it Earwig Ale you'd get to drink it aaaalll by yourself.

Perusing the wiki, it mentions they are called Battle-twigs in Southern England....that might be obscure enough.
