500ml Starter

Made my first starter yesterday using the wyeast suggestion:
1/2 cup DME
1 liter H20
1/8-1/4 tsp yeast nutrient
(20 minute boil)
Wyeast Activator Smack Pack

My concern is that during the boil I lost 500ml, leaving me with a 500ml starter. How will this affect my 5 gal batch of Amber (abv around 5)?

I'm assuming I'll be okay, but just wanted to make sure. Thanks!

It'll be fine. The gravity of the started might be high, but I think you'll still have more active yeast than you started with.
