So, I was searching Amazon for some salts to adjust my water's PH, and I came across this product:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0064OGFFA/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

It promises to bring water PH to 5.2 regardless of starting PH, all without off flavors. This almost sounds too good to be true, so before I pull the trigger on the purchase, I'm wondering if anyone around here has ever used this product and whether it performs as advertised.

Many thanks!

If it sounds too good to be true...I got sucked into buying some, then I looked it up on here and found out I wasted my money. Apparently it doesn't do much of anything but make your beer salty if you use too much.

That is about right. AJ and Kai indicated that it buffers to around 5.7 or 5.8. That is not really where you want to mash to be. Learn to properly acidify your water when necessary and you will not need that stuff.
