Last weekend was my 2nd attempt at all grain, which was a total cluster F$%k.

This weekend was awesome!

I hit my mash temp dead on by preheating my tun and increasing the strike/sparge water by 1-2 degrees. I checked the pH and hit 5.4.

I went to different LHBS who lets you mill your own with their equipment. I achieved a 75% efficiency and hit both my pre and post boil volumes and ended up with a 1.075 OG.

It is happily fermenting away now.

Thanks again to all those who gave great advice..

Cheers.

Its great when things fall in place isn't it? The more you do the easier it will be. I always had something happen during the first few batches.

Now when one comes out right on with all the numbers, I sit and think "This went too easy....What the hell did I forget" :mug:
