All - purchased a Ported fermonster from More Beer. The plastic spigot provided comes with one “beveled” washer. Trying to install spigot on Fermonster and can’t figure out whether washer goes on outside of vessel or inside. Does anyone have experience with this? Getting a little leakage when I try.

Thanks, Gary

Washer goes on the outside.
Put the larger side of the washer against the carboy.
Make sure there are no burrs on the plastic.
Hand tighten.
Try not to deform the washer too much.
Make sure the spigot pieces are firmly together (the part that turns to open the spigot comes out for cleaning).

I highly recommend the spigot with "sediment block" instead of the other spigot.

I'll post a photo if you want.

I always put the washer on the outside with the flat side flat against the spigot side. The bevel facing the port on the Fermonster. Hand tighten as much as you can. I've never had a leak doing it that way.

Mine leaks...beveled side towards carboy, on the outside...drip drip drip...

replaced with o-ring and not a drop...

Hmm...

I have 2 Fermonsters, both have 2 flat washers.

No leaks
