Does anybody know how long a 3/8"- 25' immersion chiller will take to cool 5-6 gallons of wort? How about 10 gallons? I just got a keggle and am wondering since I am going to be doing full boils now if I need a bigger chiller or if I can make do with what I already have.

It usually takes me 15 to 20 minutes to cool to pitching temp. In the winter it goes faster because my tap water is much colder.

It depends very much on hose water temperature. My water is about 45F in the winter and 70-80F in the summer, as the line isn't buried deeply. 5-15 minutes for 5 gallons. Given the price on copper, you might want to make a pre-chiller for the warm months.

i have a 50' 5/8" diy imersion chiller. it takes me around 15 minutes to cool 15 gallons of wort

i'd go with the biggest chiller you can afford
