Will 220v 50hz Chinese pump motor work on US 220v 60hz?

Pretty sure it will (full disclosure...I'm not an electrical engineer) work, but the motor will turn at a slightly lower speed (lower RPM).

It depends of motor type. For some of tem rtation is independent of the frequency of the AC voltage

I'm actually wondering about a refrig compressor and a chugger pump. The pumps just say 220v 50hz and compressor says 220-240v 50hz 1phase.

Don't know about the chugger but I had a couple customers run 50 hz refrigerators on 60 hz, they both lasted about 11 months before they fried.
