I'm looking for a 22 mm RGB pilot light.

I found this Carlo Gavazzi two-color (red and green) pilot light,

however, they sell for $25 - $30 each. I need 13.

Five years ago, Jason von Nieda developed a custom RGB LED board for a standard 22 mm pilot light,

I checked with Jason. This project never panned out.

Is anyone aware of a reasonably-priced, commercially-available 22 mm RGB pilot light? Or possibly a custom board / conversion kit similar to Jason's? Or even a DIY project?

Have you considered using regular sized 5 or 10mm RGB LEDs in a LEF holder? I know it's not the 22mm industrial feel you're after, but you'd get the functionality at a bargain. Are you running DC or AC to these lights as a status indicator?

I'm going to experiment with a few eBay parts from China,

New LilyPad Tri-Color LED RGB For arduino GM ($2.27)
5050 LED Module RGB LED Module for Arduino 51 AVR ARM Electronic Brick ($2.64)

Both are circular disks. The plan is to integrate them with a standard 22 mm pilot light. I'll report my findings.

FYI ... I asked Carlo Gavazzi,

With the PL22STCRG two-color pilot light, can red and green be illuminated simultaneously (to achieve yellow)?

Craig T Coulter (Carlo Gavazzi Application Engineer) replied,

Yes you can do this but the diffusion is not very good. You end up with a indication that is green on one half and red on the other with a sort of orange in the middle.
