I'm brewing an Oktoberfest and need a big ass starter. I've got a half gallon jug and the plan is to make a 48 ounce starter, pitch a vial, let it go for a few days and put in the fridge to decant. Then I'm going to pour off the wort and do it all over again. My questions are,
1. Can I brew all the wort at once and just keep the rest in a bowl with a lid in the fridge?
2. Once i decant can I just pour the fridge temp wort onto it and leave it out to warm up shaking it frequently?
3. How long will this process take? Using the whitelabs marzen yeast.
