So it has been awhile since I visited but I was unemployed, going broke, and just not brewing. I recently took a job in Houston and moved last week. I temporarily left my beautiful home, wife, garden, and dogs for this job which has been tough on me so far. I brewed this beer on 5/16, late at night in my new apartment because I need to feel somewhat whole again. It was not a complete disaster.
Here were my issues:
1. I forgot to buy ice for chilling.
2. I didn't sanitize/use my wort chiller (new sink and I'm not sure if the attachments fit just yet)
3. I don't have the same space so I need to configure how I will drain my tun and pot
4. I don't have all my measuring cups so my water was way off.
5. I put the wort into my bucket and threw it in my beer fridge but I guess I left the door open so it literally took a day to chill.
6. The scale I bought, since I left my first for my wife, sucks.
7. I need a table or chair to use and I do not have one yet.
All in all not bad. It felt good to be myself even if it was alone. Thanks for enduring my rant.
