Guys and gals, I hate to say it, but I'm giving up on the dream. I purchased this system from Stout back in 2013 with dreams of using it as a pilot system in a brewery, but my priorities have been elsewhere for the past two years, and that's a pretty good indication of where my priorities are going to stay for the foreseeable future. That moment of honesty leads me to sell off some gear and downsize. I have $5,000 in these tanks, which have been stored in my garage and have never been used. The FV is particularly interesting, as it has been modified with a gasketed lid that will hold pressure, expanding your options for this tank (pressurized fermenting, forced carbonation, CO2 push to keg, etc.).

Asking price is $4,000. A description for each vessel is shown below. I'll upload more pics shortly. Shipping would be a challenge, but I'd be willing to endure that torture at the buyer's expense and I'm also willing to drive a few hours to meet someone for a not-so-local pickup if the price is right.

40 Gal. Hot Liquor Tank with Thermowell, Sight Glass, (2) Ports for Electric Elements/Level Sensor, (2) 1.5in. TC x 1in. NSP Adapters, (1) Port for level sensor, (1) 1.5in.TC x 1/2in. F-NPT adapters. (1) 3/4in. Ball Valve, (1) 1/2in. Hose Barb. Clamps/Gaskets. With integrated RAISED HERMS COIL. Includes upper fittting for recirculating water for an even temperature through the kettle

40 Gal. Conical Fermenter with T/C style thermowell, (2) 1.5in. butterfly valves, (1) 3in. T/C Port in lid, (1) 1.5in. T/C Port in Lid, and (1) 1/2in. Elbow Hose Barb Adapter. With wheels, Lid also has (2) 1/4" NPT ports for your gauge & co2 inlet valve. Tank has (2) 1.5" TC ports in side for your carb stone and sample valve.

Probably $500 to ship to CA, but that's a very wild guess.

I'm seeing freight quotes of about $500 to more than $1,000 depending on the freight code. I also checked UPS to see what would happen if things were boxed and shipped individually. For $7200 I can arrange next day air. *gripping chest*

Shipping was $500 to WV from OR in 2013, which is how I came up with my previous estimate. I'm going to keep looking for some shipping options for you. I feel like a bit of an ass. Not a chance that someone is going to swing by the ol' homestead to pick these things up. I should have already researched shipping. If you want to do some checking on your own, they were originally shipped to me on two standard-sized pallets, with the FV on its own pallet.

I also have a mostly-complete 50 amp control panel similar to Kal's, which I was going to use for this 1bbl system. It's ugly as hell, but has all the components installed except for the final power wiring from the SSRs to the contactors. I was relying upon the expertise of my dad while I was building the panel. He has over 40 years of experience designing and building industrial control panels like these, but sadly he's not as with-it as he once was. I'd have it tested by an electrician before firing it up. I would sell it to the person who buys the tanks for $500. Kal's fully assembled panels are $2900, so this could be a helluva bargain. Could also be a PITA project, hence the steep discount. If it doesn't sell with the tanks, then I'll probably finish the panel and sell it as a completed item.

I've got a freight carrier that quoted me $600. He said it might be a little less than that. He said he had another carrier that could get the tanks to you cheaper, but he wouldn't ship his dead aunt with that carrier. If you want to do that, then I'll eat the cost of packaging.
