Has anyone used 1728 Scottish ale yeast for a Cali common? I'd think it would work due to its ability to ferment at cold temperatures, but since its not a lager yeast.... Plus it'd be great cuz I have a Scottish 80/- fermenting with it right now.

I think a California Common needs the right yeast. The Scottish Ale yeast will work and will probably even be tasty...it just won't be a California Common.
