Hey all, found a whiskey barrel double bock recipe I want to try. It's for a 12 gallon batch that I'm making for 6 gallon. Halving the grains and hops was easy but it calls for two separate types of lager yeast. Do I go ahead and pitch both into my 6 gallons of wort? Is there a way to half the yeast?
Thanks, Frank

Thanks jt, that's what I was hoping to hear.
Yeah it's a high abv (10%)

Does it definitely call for two types or yeast, or is it recommending two strains that you can use one or the other? Just asking because I made that mistake with my first brew years ago, kit listed two possible yeasts and I added both.
