Radon is the #1 cause of lung cancer in non-smokers. You can't see or smell radon. Testing is the only way to know your level of exposure. Exposure to high levels of radon in indoor air results in an increased risk of developing lung cancer. The risk of cancer depends on the level of radon and how long a person is exposed to those levels.
Through the Evict Radon National Study, we have identified the people of Canada as having the third highest radon exposure in the world. This means that Canadians are having radon exposures known to increase their lifetime risk of lung cancer.
It would also be a good addition to your garage, basement, cellar, and living room, continuously monitoring the radon level in the house.
