    Help. Is my scoby moldy?

    Hi. Just now my big batch of kombucha has finished and I was about to pour it in bottles for the second fermentation when I noticed that the bottom of my scoby is very strange. I tried to search for pictures online to see whether it counts as moldy or not, but I did not find a clear answer...

    Is this damaged heating element safe ?

    Hi, I bought this cheap 2000W element on Amazon (25$~30$). The material is nowhere mentioned, but the element is meant to boil water (for tea/food), so I assumed it would be okay to use for brewing. Last time I used it, it turned like this. Would you still use it or should I dump it ? 🤔

    I froze my grapes and berries whenever I had extra left when I would routine grocery shop. Mashed them, pressed them, and put it into a 1-gallon carboy. I put in 1.5 Campden tablets in. Rather be a little over sterilized then vice versa with the potential of them harboring any of the crap nearby...

    Is a stuck fermentation safe to drink?
