I know...brewing takes a long time already. It eats up the better part of a day. So it's no surprise the thought of extending your boil from 60 minutes to 90 minutes makes you grumble.

In this hobby it doesn't take long to learn the importance of yeast starters for a healthy and vigorous fermentation, and after making several starters & pouring the fermented DME down the drain I have come to the conclusion that this is a waste. I am constantly looking for an excuse to brew up...
