    What is my efficiency?

A recipe I brewed on Saturday called for a target original gravity of 1.050. My OG was 1.054. Surely this cannot mean i have achieved over 100% efficiency?

Accuracy of efficiency calculators? Different kinds of efficiency?

Brewer's friend has a handy little tool for calculating efficiency based on your fermentables, gravity reading and wort volume: https://www.brewersfriend.com/brewhouse-efficiency/ They also have a hydrometer/temp calculator so you can your actual gravity even if the wort is still hot...

I'm consistently hitting about 80% with an excellent crush, was wondering what other people are getting. I do full volume (no-sparge) BIAB. If yours improved, please share with us what you did (finer crush, better PH control, etc).

Hi, 2 brews I've now done with the same bag of pre-crushed pilsner have come out 33% under the mark extraction wise, even though i mashed in at a low temp and always up until now hit my numbers (and have done previously with 95% pilsner malt). It's from the same crowd as usual and the crush...
