Recently i have decided to brew a ipa from coopers, and i dont know if taste of kit itself is good and hoppy enough to yo leave it as it is or dry hopping it with 100g of cascade hops i have in my freezer. My point is, this is my third brew so i dont want to mess it up by dry-hopping a...
Hello all and thanks in advance for any advice you can contribute
I've been brewing for about a year and a half now and am always slightly disappointed with the mouth feel my brews produce. For awhile I was making blondes but have switched up to doing more ales.
Does anyone have any advise on...
Hi, new brewer here
I have been making the australian lager from the coopers brew kit and followed eveverything by the letter. Final gravity worked out perfectly etc.
I have tightly screwed caps when bottling and left them for 3 weeks in complete darkness in the recommended temperature...
Hi, new brewer here.
I am making a 4% coopers lager and when it came to bottling I noticed a light yellowish sort of colour (which smells pretty bad) when I reached the tap of my fermenting vessel (which I'm assuming is all the leftover yeast. Which people tend to throw out or to re-use).
I wanna share a recipe i did.
Its a Coopers Diablo IPA with added Citra in boil and dryhop.
I start with boiling 20g Citra in 2l water for 20min.I leave the hops in the mix.
I add the Diablo extract and stir it up really good.
I then added 400 dextrose for added ABV.
After that i fill...
I am a massive fan of apfelwine, and has been the main thing I've been brewing with much success. I'm a sucker for punishment though, so I decided to branch out and dip my toes into beer brewing.
I bought a Coopers dark ale kit from my local store, and I think the instructions must...
Hey Folks ,
Giving my home brew a second chance- My first coopers kit I tried and the beer tasted like green apples ( this may be acetaldehyde? ). Despite the the hydrometer reading consistently for 2 days and letting the beer ferment for 14 days at around 18 degrees celcius.
So basically I brewed a Coopers Real Ale with half the required water (12Litres instead of 23Litres) and added 600g of sugar.
I have noticed that activity has suddenly stopped. Now when I say stopped, I am referring to the airlock. Lets assume it has actually stopped knowing that the...
Guys would you think that brewing a Coopers Irish Stout with 12L instead of 23L will make it taste better?
Also, how much Sugar would you add recipe calls for 1kg with 23L, should I add 500gr?
Thanks in advance!
First post, and second time brewing.
My first ever home brew Lager came out about 2 months ago and I'm in need of some advice on how to improve it. I made a few mistakes first time around (put 2 types of yeast, one lager and one ale and totally didn't add nearly enough sugar for...
I've recently purchased the Coopers Lager kit (https://www.the-home-brew-shop.co.uk/acatalog/Coopers_40_pint_Lager_Beer_Kit.html), which comes with Brew Enhancer 1. I've also purchased a Copers Bootmaker Pale Ale kit...
I have 3 plastic buckets (2 Coopers + another one thats not a pail). I really like them all since they are easy to transport, easy to clean and 2 of them have spigots. I do not want to throw them out but I am in the process of getting 5 & 6.5 gallon carboys.
Here is one kind of "infection"...
