    Tasting Suggestions

Fellow beer lovers, I come to you with a request! I am planning out a "tasting party" which will happen in a couple of months. The people I'm inviting will be, for the most part, unfamiliar with most craft beers and imports other than the sparse offerings in the supermarket. I have a personal...

    Sam Adams + Weihenstephan

What led me to say what I did was this: "Both brewers said they hoped the new brew could win more wine and spirits drinkers over to beer." It's not impossible, I guess, but honestly, most wine drinkers I know won't touch beer no matter how much I try to convince them. But hey, I hope I'm...

Southern Tier 'Pumking' Imperial Pumpkin Ale

Dang, I passed this one up recently in favor of something else. Oh well, I guess it means another trip to the store. ;-)

    Witches Brew

There's also an English ale by the same name that I can't seem to find anymore (and can't remember the name of the brewery that did it). My wife used to love it.

What's your least favorite micro brewery?

I really can't think of any that I dislike, although there are a handful that I feel so-so about (Fat Tire, Sam Adams, etc.). I did go to a brand new microbrewery here in upstate New York (Becker Brewing Co) and I was not sold on any of the beers. Granted, they just started, so I'll probably...
