    I love the sediment! its loaded w/ B12 which the beer depleats from your system.

    using glass carboy for primary

    I think that you'll be happyer in the long run w/ the glass carboy. I've been using them sence i've started brewing. Just use a blow off tube and you'll be fine! Happy brewing!

    Making a starter. OG is at 1.060. How can I get it down to 1040?

    I'm confussed too. I always use 500ml of water and .5oz of DME for a starter and never have a problem.

    24 hours no sign of fermentation?

    I'd start to worry after 48hours. But as long as the beer is sealed it should be fine. My IPA that i just made took 48hours to start and when she did she took off! Relax and have a home brew!

    Record Keeping Questions.

    I use Promash and i write down everything in a notebook. that way i always have a backup and its easyer for me to grab the notebook and write down a quick note.
