I'm afraid that there is no LHBS in town. I order most of my stuff from Brewmasters Warehouse. Great customer service and you'll have you stuff in two days. What part of Chattanooga are you in?
I would just give it time. I don't think that in any way pouring them all out and rebottling will turn out well. Think of the work, and the potential of one bottle being infected and ruining them all.
Well SWMBO likes milder pales and belgians, but doesn't enjoy anything with the world imperial on it. Every other girl I hang out with drinks bud light or natty.
I'm basing my fermentation temp on the fact that my swamp cooler water temp was around 65 degrees. I figured it would age well, especially since I had a relatively high OG. I must admit that it didn't seem near as bitter as I thought it would be either.
So I brewed the hop scare IPA kit from Midwest 9 days ago. My OG was 1.064. My blow off bubbled like mad for the first seven days, and has slowed significantly over the past 2 days. I took a sample to check gravity today and it's at 1.022. It also has a very fruity smell that I usually only...
That is precisely what I did, then I added it to my beer in the bottling bucket, and used a sanitized spoon to gently stir in the priming sugar mixture.
All of the beer is perfectly clear. No haze, no cloudiness, nothing. I used no irish moss, no gelatin, just beer. I wonder though, will they carb better at room temperature or in the fridge?
I bottled from primary after two weeks of fermentation. I used 5 oz of priming sugar in water. I put my sugar into my bottling bucket and tried to stir after racking my beer into it to mix in the priming sugar. I guess i'm kinda confused about how some bottles have very little sediment and the...
Well, today was my first real test. Had a family get together and slipped a few people some of my first homebrew (a clone of Goose Island's Honkers Ale). I got great reviews from everyone. Most of them couldn't believe that I made it myself. It's kinda funny because I'm still unsure about it...
I know it may sound kinda odd, but I was wondering if during a boil if it is better to let it boil vigorously into a foam, or turn back the heat for a contained calm boil. Thanks for any opinions ,thoughts or knowledge on the matter.
