    Quick help: can I mill grains in coffee grinder?

    i wouldn't do it....i was in a pinch once before i got my mill...put in a baggie and pounding with a rubber mallot...not the best tactic but better than coffee grinder....Whutever also has a good suggestion

    haha...crap out all my bones...i love the analogy...i think i am going to get another vial of irish ale yeast and make a big starter and split it between the current oatmeal stout and maybe brew a coffee stout for the other 1/2 of the yeast start....anyone have a good AG coffee stout recipe??

    was it fun...i can't say I enjoyed it as much as you did!!! It has been 1 1/2 weeks...i gave it time....it is stuck at 1.021....i am thinking of maybe just making a big starter....putting 1/2 in what I got and brewing another 5 gal of it and using the other 1/2 of the starter for the new 5 gall

    Doing first all grain

    I just started my first all grains. I missed my mash temp of 150 by about 3 degrees at 147. I added about 1 to 2 qts of boing water until I got it up to 150 right away. I should be good right? the extra water won't mess me up will it?
