I purchased a weldless bulkhead from Bargainfittings. About how high should I install this on my brew kettle? I also got the whirlpool adapter. Using 15 gallon pot, it was getting a little to heavy to lift all of the time.

I recently got a batch of all grain from NB and the crush was not very good either. The OG was supposes to be 1.054 and I got 1.042. Used the LHBS mill for the next batch and all was well again.

What about the fermentation attenuation? If a beer is supposed to have a higher OG than what I get out of it will the FG end up lower or about the same as it should have been? If I would have started with 7.5 gallons I probably would have been alright. Is it ok to boil off 2 gallons an hour...

Everything seemed to go really well, most thanks to all of the information on this board. Hopefully the beer tastes just as good as the process went. The fermentation has really slowed down. I will be taking the off the blow off tube and replacing it with an Airlock tonight.
