it could be the water - I live in Missouri and the water here is really alkaline, I have recently switched to brewing with all distilled to see what happens

the worst one is a metallic after taste all my bottled batches come out great but my kegs have been so bad recently that I don't even want to use them anymore

what about the tank? it has rust on the outside by the neck, cold the inside be corroded?

When I last went in to get more CO2 they made me exchange my tank for one that they already had filled - now my beer tastes funny could there be something wrong with the tank or the CO2 that came from Airgas???

I believe you need to use less corn sugar when bottling and If you use a bottling wand, you need to give more head space then the wand would normally give That's just what i remember hearing

So me and my brewing buddy here in the real world had the idea to use a couple of old kegs as secondary fermenters The trick was to cut off the dispensing tube so it would be slightly above the junk in the bottom to facilitate easy siphoning with the use of a CO2 bottle what do you guys...

So i just started kegging my beer, my old system was 1 week in the primary, 2 - 3 weeks in the secondary and 3 - 4 weeks in bottles my question is how does that change for kegs? How long should it be in the secondary and how long should it sit in the keg before i drink it?? Thanks

i use old beer boxes but i get large rolls of stretch wrap from my work for free and wrap them too keep the dust out
