    Brewstand propane manifold help

I tried to open the valve slowly and even took the nut off several times. I will have to mess with that some more because that is the only real difference between my old gas hookup and this one.

    Brewstand propane manifold help

I think that's what I'm going to try. What are you using to adjust the flame at each burner?

    Brewstand propane manifold help

Yes, I checked that several times just to be sure. I forgot to say that a single burner only worked well when I hooked it directly to the tank by itself. I'm thinking I'm not getting enough volume or pressure out of the small propane tank. Also I should add that I am semi-retired my wife...

    Brewstand propane manifold help

I finally just started brewing again after taking having to take a year off. I retired last year and moved from New York to Florida. We finally bought a house and I'm settled in and got my equipment all set up. I have a single Tier three burner propane set up. I have a manifold that runs from...

    Sanke Tippy Dump MLT

I can picture a pin I saw at lowes that would be perfect, it's long enough to reach through both brackets and it has a nice handle on one end with holes in the others for a key. I think it's used for farm equipment and should be very strong.

    Sanke Tippy Dump MLT

I think I might have to add something like that to my MLT. I hate scooping out the grain. I would add some type of hitch pin on the pivot so the MLT could be removed quickly and easily.

    Propane Lines for Brew Stand

I have 3 regulators on mine like in your drawing. I did it that way because I already had them but now I'm thinking about using one and then adding 3 valves. I'm like to see the needle valves people are using, I don't like the regular on/off valves because you don't have much control.

    Mcmaster Disconnect ?

You are correct, I could see the water wind it's way up the threads whenever I closed the valve or created significant back pressure. It's not bad though, usually just a drip. I'm going to find some clamps today. I ran the system this morning with hot water and a small amount of grain to see...

    Mcmaster Disconnect ?

I'm 95% done with my single tier and I'm doing a test run with just cold water. I bought the wrong size clamps and have the silicone hose showed over the stainless street elbow threads. So far it's working without any leaks. I know others do this, does it seem to hold when using hot water? I'm a...

    Mcmaster Disconnect ?

I have to give a thumbs up to proflow, I ordered the camlocks the morning of the 26th. I forgot to order the food grade gaskets so I called them later that afternoon and even though the package was ready to be shipped they opened it and added them for me. I got the package in the mail yesterday...

    DIY weldless valve

I didn't realize how cheap the bulkheads were from bargain fittings, I just ordered 4 sets with valves and I got 4 street elbows for my camlocks. Thanks for thanks for the help.

    DIY weldless valve

I don't need stainless for everything at this point. I'm just trying to get it finished so I can start using it. There are so many things to buy when you build one of these, I got the pump and hose yesterday and I'm waiting on the camlocks. I still need sightglasses, thermometers, valves and...

    DIY weldless valve

I am really close to putting in weldless valves on my kegs for my single tier build. My camlocks should be here within a week so I need to start shopping. Is there a diy weldless valve setup that uses parts from Lowes like the cooler conversion? The expense of building this thing is adding up...

    Mcmaster Disconnect ?

I think I could put the short nipples in my mini lathe and turn them down real easy. I wish you guys would stop changing my plans on me, I'm never going to finish this project:)

    Mcmaster Disconnect ?

Thank you! I just watched bobbys video, that helped alot too. I forgot that I would have valves to stop the flow, duh.

    Mcmaster Disconnect ?

I was just looking at those and I just don't understand what parts I would need. What pieces would keep everything at least 1/2" ID? When you remove a camlock does the flow get stopped like with a disconnect? I'm lost, I have never used a camlock or disconnect.

    Mcmaster Disconnect ?

    From where?

    Mcmaster Disconnect ?

Cam Locks aren't in the budget. As long as the mcmaster disconnects can whirlpool well I will be happy. I ordered a pump so that I could whirlpool and so I didn't have to carry buckets of hot liquids.
