Here are the new hoses. 1/2" ID silicone hose with a 304 SS street elbow and Pro Flow Dynamics cam locks. Preset much just like Bobby M's except I decided to save weight and went with aluminum cam locks.

I'm in the build phase and currently waiting on my tube parts to arrive from Murray Equip... I've gone with the 1.5" because of the lesser volume to heat up as well. IIRC the price difference between 1.5" and 2" isn't more than a couple bucks.

That is correct. Just a heat lamp for right now. The TS2 can only do one at a time. Luckily my basement is sitting right about 51 degrees, so a small clip on light fixture in an insulated box is all I need to keep it right at about 65 degrees.

I figured it out. The 8 seconds that the manual tells you to hold the set button is more like 15. Got it set up and controlling a heat lamp now.

I can't get my love TS2 into heating mode. Are there some models that don't have that capability?

You could, but a PID and a SS Relay would work much more gooder. With the Ranco or Johnson you will be very likely to over shoot your temps.

do the McMaster QDs work like air hose fittings? i.e. when you unhook them will the female fitting prevent flow?
