    Fishing!

My brother in law is in town visiting so I took him out into the ocean to see what we could find. We ended up catching 2 small sharks and lost a nice spinner shark after a giant jump out of the water. We had tons of fun. I caught a 6 foot 100 pound tarpon in the same area a few weeks ago. It...

    I Love My City

I LOVE my island. Merritt Island Florida. Awesome weather year round. I just got out of our pool and we are sitting outside with cocktails. There are tons of great bars, restaurants and breweries within an hours drive. The beach is down the street and the boating and fishing is incredible. We...

Wanting to leave Verizon cell service

My wife and I use straight talk with verizon phones and verizon towers. My unlimited plan is $45 a month with no contract. My wifes is $30 or $35. The only bad part is the best "smart phone" on the verizon network is a 3g samsung galaxy. I like the phone but it isn't quite as nice as my old 4g...

Saltwater fishermen- help with choosing gift please!

When I go to Florida to fish with my relatives they make fun of me for wearing those black zip up booties. I can't imagine the torture I would get if I wore those things. They tell me stories about fisherman getting stabbed by rays and they even said a guy got his leg broken by one. I got stuck...

    Brewing hiatus

I've been back and forth a bunch of times over the past few years and I've gotten to where I don't mind the drive any more either. The next trip involves towing a 20' boat and thats going to be stressful. The following trip will be in a uhaul truck towing a car. I'm not looking forward to either...

    Brewing hiatus

Once we get settled I might be able to get a batch in once in awhile if I bottle. I don't think my beer fridge is going with us so I won't be able to keg for awhile. I have gotten rid of everything that I can get rid of. My attitude now is if it fits in the truck its going, if it doesn't it goes...

    Brewing hiatus

These are fliptops, I can deal with a little grief in order to keep them. I got rid of some stuff and sold a carboy to a friend but I still have 4 or 5 carboys I might sell before we go. It took me a long time to pack my stuff because I pack-rat brewing stuff and I had to decide what to throw away.

    Brewing hiatus

I haven't been able to brew in months and it looks like its going to be a long time before I'll be brewing and kegging again. We put our house up for sale so we can move to Florida and I figured that I couldn't keep 3 taps flowing with this move coming up. I also have 5 kegs I gotta kill in the...

    Any hunters out here?

I went bowhunting on Election day morning. It was only my second time out this year (sucks). Right as the sun was coming up I saw a buck crossing the field about 500 yards away, I grunted 3 times and he stopped and then turned and ran right to me. I dropped him at 23 yards. He should have of...

    '94 Mustang GT 5speed

This sounds like a car thats been driven hard. Especially the "new back tires". I would look it over real careful.

    Hurricane Sandy

One of our officers who is in the guard is down there helping you guys. Are they requesting any help from other police agencies like they did for 9-11? I haven't heard a thing about it. It seems like it would make sense to call for help so you guys can take care of your homes and families. We...

Guess who I'm hanging out with?

MLS R175571, it should show in the Town of Urbana. Land around here was cheap 10 years ago, now anything that has good soil for grapes on a slope near a lake is big bucks. Our friend sold a 180 acre farm on Cayuga Lake a few years ago for 1.1 million. It slopes toward the lake and has the right...

Guess who I'm hanging out with?

I love the beer at Two Goats, he has a nice cream ale, pale ale, IPA and the best oatmeal stout. He has other stuff too. He's a real nice guy and the building is a real old barn he took down somewhere and rebuilt it overlooking the lake. He just hired a "real" brewer from Marketstreet?? in...

Guess who I'm hanging out with?

You made a smart move avoiding the redneck place. If you like Mead, check out Montezuma Winery at the North end of Cayuga Lake. They started as beekeepers and supply the mead for the Renaissance Festival in Sterling. They have mostly sweet wines and fruit wines and then mead, melomels and vodka...

Guess who I'm hanging out with?

I wish I knew you guys were in my neck of the woods, the wife and I stopped at 2 new wineries on Rt 14 and then at roosterfish brewing in Watkins over the weekend. We probably passed each other. I live on the West side of Cayuga and have land next door to Bully Hill Winery (wanna buy it?). While...

    High End Dog Food

Our vet told us that feeding our dog cheap walmart type food would be the same as if we ate 3 meals a day at Mcdonalds.

    Buying a new truck

I bought a chevy quad cab z71 last year and absolutely love it. I admit I have never driven a Toyota but I have had several ford trucks (pos) and a suburban (200,000 troublefree miles). I chose the chevy because the dodge, ford and Toyota box sides are so damn high. I'm 6 foot and had a hard...
