Is there an audience for a TV show about a microbrewery?

I will be hooked if it’s themed like The Office but instead of a paper company it is a malt supplier/microbrewery

    Icognito hop virgin

Everyone, ended up using the incognito - damn that **** is sticky, it’s like your wife asking for your credit card.,, if you don’t like to have a field day when cleaning and have no complete access to all equipment surfaces (i.e you ferment in glass carboys) I will recommend staying away from...

    Favorite Online Home Brewing Supplier

Check out Keystone Homebrew Supply in Montgomeryville PA https://www.keystonehomebrew.com/ I buy at the store but they also ship (shipping next day for stock items) and also do curbside if you are in the area. Their staff is also very knowledgeable.

Time to Get Real About Eating Spent Grain

By the way it seems spent grain is not that friendly as it can kill horses.. and if the mash was hopped, don’t feed it to your dog as it can kill them too, hoppy dog treats = dead dog. Same with grapes I heard… 💀💀💀💀 https://www.homebrewtalk.com/threads/spent-grains-to-horses.703861/ If using...

Time to Get Real About Eating Spent Grain

SG could be used for growing mushrooms 🍄!.. Forget about crackers, bread and cookies, the biggest bang for the buck will be for drying and making protein powder so we can grow 20-inch arms like Nate and Damien from TH did back in 2016..

On the fence about using yeast slury....

Guys this is going to hurt but got to cough it out my chest, please don’t get offended — we’ve managed to resuscitate 2,000+ year old yeast from the harshest desertic conditions at the Sphinx and tombs of Tutancamel and brew awesome beer with it, and as of recent, everyone’s raving about Kveik...

    Icognito hop virgin

@SanPancho Thanks for the clarification!. I now understand what you were referring to. I have some citra incognito from the last release but haven’t been able to use it yet. I thought about pre-heating it in its container with hot water and then mixing with hot wort to a gooey consistency and...

    Icognito hop virgin

For Ferm you need to use their other product, Spectrum, which seems to be a low density version of Incognito for ‘dry hopping’ but not sure if that’s available in small sizes for homebrewers yet

NEIPA/Hazy brew overly bitter - undrinkable

@Brian66 your setup sounds like mine. Just to be clear, when you say you brew 2.5 gal batches, is that your starting volume or do you start around 4 gals and end up with 2 1/2 gal?, also you mentioned distilled water, what are your water additions?, gypsum and CaCl2?, and what’s your mash pH...

Beer That Tastes Like Fermentation Smells

You can add dextrose (glucose aka corn sugar) before the end of boil around the 10 - 5 mins to make sure the dextrose is well dissolved and accounted for within your gravity reading (OG). But in practice you can add dextrose anytime during the brewing process starting with the boil. Some say...

Beer That Tastes Like Fermentation Smells

Right?, kept it very vague as this is something I’ve been working with my last couple batches. I’ve been pitching yeast on the warm side to shake things up a bit. I’ve been able to make this work with no fusels so far. Still in infancy but will have more on that later. However this may not work...

Beer tastes and smells like water

Beer That Tastes Like Fermentation Smells

@GoodTruble certainly what you are describing will be a dream fermentation IMO (lager farts being an exception 😂).. but unfortunately there are physical limitations that simply cannot be broken. You probably know by now that the smell of a fermentation is all the thousands of fragile/volatile...

    Bottle Washer - question

Difficult to picture here but I also spray/flush with CO2 the bottling bucket before and after transferring the beer and all bottles before filling to prevent oxidation, won’t deny it is a difficult and tedious process but the outcome is worth it if you prefer bottling, primarily for NEIPAs...

    Bottle Washer - question

Awesome build, but just a quick question, do you have a dishwasher?, I’ve been bottling all my beers for about 10 years now and I put my bottles inside the dishwasher (bottom rack only) and set the dishwasher to run a hot water cycle with a tiny tiny amount of cascade.. the cycle also has...

Need ideas for brewing an experimental beer

Haven’t been able to read the entire discussion so my apologies if someone already mentioned this. One of my favorites, the Anchor Brewing blog, has a lot of articles with historical and traditional brewing archives including Mesopotamian/Sumerian styled beer. I even recall they got to brew...

Hoppy Beers Taste Better Before Bottling?!

Hopfather, I've been having this issue for years where my beers are awesome at bottling and a couple weeks after they are just not the same. Not only hop flavor/aroma but also the appearance going from this bright orange to an awful dull light brown. I've done unimaginable hop amounts (16 oz per...
