New way to control Pellet Hop gunk!

Wow. Nice! It looks like marcb was able to work with someone to create a new product. This type of information exchange is what the board is all about. At this point, however, it looks like there should be enough information for anyone to contact the seller directly. If the seller want to...

Monster Mills are made in the USA

I edited out personal info. I was, to be sure, erring on the conservative. These to me are the relevant parts of the discussion. HBT will not facilitate a "he said, she said" back and forth between two individual members.

Leaky Corny - Not what you think

It actually killed me, however death has not changed my life one bit... Except for the dying part. I still have the keg. All have been In use. I'd actually have to find it, but that should tell you how little I regard the fix as being a problem.

Holiday lights have those same warnings.

Can i use copper valve on boiling kettle?

Lots of people put some copper in their brewery to get zinc for yeast health. The effectiveness of this strategy is highly debatable, but the point is... people do it intentionally.

Is a square pot ok to use?

It's a rectangle, BTW. Which makes the whirlpooling and spigot problem even more interesting. But really. Faulty welds is a red flag.

Is a square pot ok to use?

I think whirlpooling might be a challenge. More concern-worthy: "It cooked good, but was not made very sturdy and welding broke as it was being assembled. Lid should have had slots in them so baskets could be in with the lid on." eek.

    RubberMaid says "NO"!

Alcohol is a poison. QFT +! Or they are worried about scalding liability. Cooler on the floor full of hot liquid and a baby and you have lawsuits.

    Shirron Wort Chiller Death?

I bake mine on the clean cycle all the time. I wouldn't worry about the color.

Better Bottle scum, how do you get rid of it?

Winner. It's what the manufacturer recommends.

How do I get my garden hose not to leak?!?!

The teflon tape may allow you to tighten the fitting more easily and perhaps making a seal, but you risk damaging the fitting or the threads if over-tightening is your long-term solution.

    Kill-A-Watt Brewery Build Compilation

I have no special knowledge of why POL left. I assume he did because he went on and on about how he probably would. We don't do drama here. I'll reopen this thread once the OT stuff is deleted. I don't have time now.

    Puncture in Corny Kegs Top

I've used it for a pinhole leak on a corny with spectacular success.

Explain something to me about March pumps please.

That and alot of condescending subtext. brewbeemer, the March pump is a well known pump, the LG not so much. Why not post some useful links instead of admonishing people for not being as informed as you. Everyone else, stick to facts and knock off the drama.

    shirron chiller

Yes. The water side of the plates never touches the wort side. In other words, the cooling liquid could be glycol (or Freon for that matter) with no issues. But don't use freon, that would be stupid.

Ice Cube fell into cooling wort

Despite what others are saying, I'm here to tell you that your ice cube is ruined.

Have You Sanitized (Sterilized) Using Your Oven?

I routinely use the oven to sanitize my plate chiller. I might be tempted to fill the rest of the oven with bottles. There goes your math.
