Cheap copper tubing from local plumbing store!

If you were living out east then shipping is closer to $12. Never hurts to check all possibilities when buying, especially with tubing as prices are always fluctuating.

Yeah, how about a 6 gallon handblown carnival glass carboy? :rockin:

    Carboys in Cleveland

I am in M-O-L. If someone is picking these up and does not want them all I would jump in on the "bulk buy"...

I have no foam. Why have I no foam to fear?!?

I use Saniclean to avoid the foaming that Starsan has.

    Quick Hopback questions...

I was eyeing up an awesome hopback about 6 months ago from, dare I say, B3. Stainless with sanitary fittings and a glass lid to check the level. I have a sanitary fitting on my BK so it would of hooked directly off of that. It had a false bottom and I think most do.

    Cost to fabricate brutus 10?

Would you consider yourself a handyman? An option could be to use the money to get a decent welder and the material to build a stand yourself. The most exciting part of my build was building the frame. I had never welded prior. Just thought I would throw that out there...

Best place to buy a Blichmann Conical?

+1 on fixed price. When I got my 14gal they were $809 everywhere. The week after pricing was increased to $839... EVERYWHERE.

    More Beer's Gravity Beer Sculpture

If you are really interested in the 3 tier and can weld or know somebody that can weld I suggest you make the frame yourself. Then you can add additional options you want like casters, propane holder, pump holder, etc. Mine has generally the same shelves as the B3 but is made to better...

    I Hate Beverage Factory

Thanks for letting me know never to order from these guys. That is such a b.s. response to your complaint. Unacceptable!

    Barley Crusher Question

Know anyone that is a machinist? Have then throw a flat on the shaft. Should only take 5 minutes, most of which would be the setup. I bet a sixer would get the job done.

March Pump SS Head? Best Price?

B3 takes a SS head manufactured by March and welds the tri-clamps on. The head is $240, the whole pump is $325 and the tri-clamp addition is $395. I do not see the tri-clamp being offered anymore at B3.

    Drilling a SS pot

A regular bit might rip your arm off when it gets hung up while breaking though.

    Electric motors and stirring/cooling wort

I made my HLT stirrer out of a 150rpm AC continuous duty gear motor from McMaster Carr. It was $50. The price of my stainless prop,... no comment.

Keeping Co2 tank outside of fridge??

You can turn your fridge off for a day to let it warm up then turn it back on and there should be slight condensation on the inside where the lines are running.

    Barley Crusher problem

Maybe your drill is turning the roller too fast? (Not sure though) Next time try mixing some barley in with the wheat also. This is weird. First time I ever heard something other than good stuff about the BC.

    Megapots (morebeer.com) false bottom question

Grain gets through especially if you crush at .035" or less. Not too much but it does.
