Can You Get Rid of Vinyl Taste in Beer Lines

Superflex is a good product as far a PVC goes, but I recommend the bev-seal. The glass liner is much more impermeable and inert.

Motor size (HP) for grain mill?

Well if the gear ratio works for the maltmill then it ought to be ok. Plently of happy customers use those. Is this going to be an adjustable gap? If so, how is the gear lash going to be maintained? I'd much rather have an adjustable gap and and idle roller than gear driven without gap adjustment.

Motor size (HP) for grain mill?

What is the goal in having the rollers run at different speeds?

Motor size (HP) for grain mill?

I second that 1.5 is likely too small for smooth. I prefer the idle roller over 2 driven. If a rock or similar is in the grain then it has a lot better chance of not being forced through. With 3/4 you might do some damage. Yuri-rage built a mill. Have you found his thread? Might help you avoid...

Motor size (HP) for grain mill?

It only draws the torque it needs. Knurled rollers are needed on smaller diameter bars to grab the grains. A large diameter smooth roller is more ideal. I'd have to look on the gap. I think that is pretty standard as shipped on mills. Most tighten it up from there.

    CO2 Regulator

Yeah, I'm crazy. I read it as "another regulator to my tank". Thought he was connecting a 2nd primary regulator like this: Beer Regulator - Dual Primary CO2 Regulator Battery The threads on the tank connection are not designed to seal. Use a washer as others said.

    CO2 Regulator

Op isn't asking about the tank connection. I would recommend about 5. Depending on the thickness of the tape. The pink or yellow are better than the cheap blue rolls.

    Beerquarium

Actually water is not a very good insulator. The fact that it conducts heat helps keep it the same temp as the carboy. Waters high specific heat causes it to be a thermal flywheel of sorts. It has a lot of thermal inertia which maintains stable temps.

    Boil off

Boil off depends on how many BTUs you put into the wort. Pot geometry does not really matter. That being said different sized pots might get better heat transfer than others, but burner size and how high you run the burner matter much more.

    a) I thought your beef with Fred was settled? b) China knocks off well-built stuff from america everyday. I suspect Monster Mills is the latest victim. Jeff

What kind of metal is this?

That coating would scare me more than the copper/brass underneath. Soak that off for sure. Then maybe pickle it if you are worried about lead.

New Cornelius Keg Smells of Oxy

It wasn't used for carpet cleaning or similiar, right? Anyway, I would changed the seals. Give it a good oxycleaning. BTW I never picked up a big scent from oxy.

Will this work in place of a 2nd regulator?

That thing is just a valve (flow regulation) with a pressure readout. The valve creates a restriction in the line, causing a pressure drop DURRING FLOW. This is not the same as a spring/diaphram regulator that actually regulates pressure. It does nothing more than your brass manifold valves. I'd...
