Chris, what BC did you buy? i haven't seen that explicitly stated in this thread. i ask 'cause i was looking at getting the 1182 which supposedly will work with EBIABB. but if the clearance is wrong i may suck it up and get the 62qt 1160 and do a sparge step for high gravity 10 gal batches.

what roughly was your temp schedule? i am looking to use this soon (i hope) and i usually let the temps take off for saison (high 70s °F to 80s) early rather than later.

another thought is if you have a "two" vessel system where you have a mash tun and then your HLT and brew kettle are the same. you gotta use an interim vessel while you sparge so it's not really two vessels but whatevs. Essentially, your HERMS coil is just an IC hard mounted to your BK. assuming...

thanks. and uhhhhh, feelin pretty stupid now. should have thought of that. for some reason i kept forgetting that there would be a 30A breaker upstream of the 50A one. and warning flags kept going up about using 30A wire downstream of the 50A spa panel.

either i'm missing something or my interwebz skills are worse than i thought, but for the life of me i can't find a 30 amp spanel anywhere. i see posts of people finding them at homedepot etc., but none in my area carry them and they don't list it online. so if these things exist where can i get...

just curious, do you have a wiring diagram for your system? i was thinking of going the 1 receptacle route for the 2 elements, but still haven't decided yet. btw, that setup is amazing. not much else i can say. purely amazing.

pretty hi-tech. looks good too. if u want real simple, you can use about $1.25 in pvc couplers and a angle grinder. if i remember correctly, a 1 1/4" stepped coupler and a 1" t-junction cut in half. hose clamp angle grinder handle to t-junction, place junction in coupler, place coupler in bung...
