    Adventures with Surly Furious

You should like the results of the NB Furious recipe as they go it directly From Surly. I even have the recipe for the "dry hop blend". After I kegged it, had some friends over and got several compliments including one that said it tasted the same as the can he had several hours earlier! Killer

So, what might the effect of 3x lactose be in a milk stout?

Thanks all for the responses. I chose to toss the attempt out and do it again per recipe, second batch is in primary now after hitting my #'s. I know i could have probably salvaged it, but I'm weird like that. Good news is I have 11oz of lactose now for another recipe..... Thx again, Killer

    What'cha brewing this weekend?

What recipe do you use? We love the leine's and I would have to make at least a 5gal batch a month for the summer. The brings up a good question, do you actually plan ahead or do you find yourself saying "crap, I HAVE to brew this or we won't have any!?". I'm new so I fall into the latter. Killer

Am i going to have to add yeast for bottling?

Made some blind pig on 12/31, and due to traveling, it was in primary for 3 weeks, and secondary for two. I'm cold crashing it currently to let the proteins(?) drop, seems to be working and I want to bottle a 12 pack and keg the rest. Am I going to have to add yeast so the bottles will...

That is the protective wrap... Surly furious recipe went through it first. 5 gal is a lot for me and I'm thinking I can use smaller kegs, ie (2) 3 gallon and adapt a 5L in it. Seems like there is enough or would be enough space. ( I tend to bottle and share those with friends and usually...
