BeerBug Review - Early build impressions

The prototype I reviewed did have to have a button pressed, the retail version will automatically upload data every 10 minutes. I'll have a review of the retail version in a few weeks. It seems to be quite a bit better than the prototype in a few ways.

BeerBug Review - Early build impressions

I don't think they intend that page to be active right now. In their front page it says: But even if having it available is a mistake I'm sure the prices aren't. Hopefully they aren't final..

BeerBug Review - Early build impressions

Apparently so. What you're describing sounds more like the BrewBit concept that didn't work out. Though it's very possible that was an early beerbug concept since that was before I started following the project.

BeerBug Review - Early build impressions

A few answers... You should not need to adjust line length for fermenters of similar depths with batches of any size large enough to nicely submerge the torpedo. Different line lengths would be needed only if you are using the bug in a way that your current line either lets the torpedo hit...

BeerBug Review - Early build impressions

    German Pils German Pilsner Ale

I used the kolsch yeast and cold crashed it, got a pretty clear beer out of it. I'll probably let it sit a week longer next time for a little more clarity.

    German Pils German Pilsner Ale

Just realized I never checked back in on this. It turned out great! I think next time I will go for a lighter color, but the flavor profile is nice and clean, balance leans a bit towards hops (just as I was hoping for)... Overall delicious! Thanks for the recipe. :mug:

    Double IPA Heavenscent IIPA

I brewed my take on this yesterday. I used the original hop bill and the modified grain/extract bill from the second recipe on page 5 of this thread. I had an OG of 1.078 and it's now happily bubbling away.

    German Pils German Pilsner Ale

Just bottled my take on this. Only thing I changed was to take the temp down to 35-40 for a couple weeks before bottling. Very excited to try it!
