A group grain buy.

I know this is in the wrong area but I can't post in the group buy section. Does anyone do a group buy in NNJ? Looking to get in on one but they are usually too far. Thanks for any input.

I found with the 525ss faucets that they didn't fit right when I used a chrome plated brass shank. So I purchased ss shanks and no leaking. Just wondering if the leaky people are using chrome shanks with the ss faucets?

Also. What's the difference between the flare fitting and the regular? I still don't understand that about fittings. Which one goes on the end of the shank?

I assume you still use the neoprene washer between the shank and the new fitting?

I was looking at both of these burners and went with the bilchmann. The price hurts since you can get the same burner for significantly less. But I too am middle age ( lower middle) and would like my stuff to last and be nice. Buy it once has become my philosophy. If you have to wait a little...

Will that fitting just screw on to the shank? Could it be that easy?

This sounds like the culprit. It's a safety on the newer tanks. I guess they aren't so new any more. If the tank valve is opened without another line connected, whose regulator has to be off, the tank valve will not open all the way. Connect the burner to the tank, open the burner valve to make...

I always see people saying they don't want to use up their co2 cleaning kegs. Has anyone used a compressor with a QD to pressurize a keg to send the cleaning/sanitizer thru the kegs? Of course not to serve the beer. Just to send the solutions through? Any issues with doing that?

I did a lot of research on this topic. The overwhelming thought was to buy perlick stainless. You will never buy another faucet and you will forever be happy. If you can do it, this is one of many places,to splurge a little. It will not stick even if you don't use it for weeks and it will seal...

That will be my next trial. 30 psi. Thanks everyone. I had not thought about the regulator being bad....more gas went in when I pushed it to 15. It still didn't pour too fast, which is good. Btw, I just pulled a drunk mosquito from my double bock. I may soon be joining him. :)
